Precision Landscapes LLC Introduce
As a homeowner or business owner in West Michigan, finding a reliable partner for your outdoor space is crucial. The local climate demands specific expertise in lawn health, soil preparation, and materials that can withstand our distinct seasons. Precision Landscapes LLC, operating out of West Olive, Michigan, positions itself as a local landscaper dedicated to transforming and maintaining properties across the region, serving communities like Holland, Grand Haven, and beyond. They offer comprehensive services aimed at creating the "ideal outdoor living space," encompassing everything from the initial ground preparation to the final aesthetic touches of plant and stone installation.
Like many established landscapers, Precision Landscapes LLC is generally expected to handle large-scale residential and commercial projects. Their offered services typically include extensive yard renovations, the installation of new lawns (often utilizing methods like hydroseeding or sod), and the design and construction of hardscape features. The company's owner, Brian, is noted in the community as the professional who provides bids and promises specific project outcomes, such as the installation of stones, new plants, and ground fabric replacement, often with short completion timelines for significant jobs. Their local identity is a point of emphasis for customers looking to support businesses within the Ottawa County region.
However, it is important for potential clients to conduct thorough due diligence, as the nature of large construction and landscaping projects often involves complex logistics and significant financial commitments. While some contractors exceed expectations, a few local reviews received by Precision Landscapes LLC highlight concerning issues related to project management, completion, and communication. Reports include projects being left unfinished after a large down payment, difficulty reaching personnel—including the owner—during a job, and customer service described as "rude" or "unresponsive." Specifically, there have been complaints about new lawn installations resulting in "bumpy, uneven" surfaces following hydroseeding and a lack of follow-up on scheduled appointments to address flaws. Michigan residents rely on their contractors to deliver on promises, especially when it involves such a significant part of their property's curb appeal and functionality.
Precision Landscapes LLC is conveniently located to serve the lakeshore communities and surrounding areas of West Michigan. The business operates out of West Olive, a strategic location between Holland and Grand Haven, allowing them to efficiently mobilize their teams and equipment for projects across a broad service area.
Their official local address is:
10203B Lake Michigan Dr, West Olive, MI 49460, USA
A notable feature of this location is the practical consideration for all customers: the facility itself is noted to have a Wheelchair accessible parking lot. While this specific detail may pertain to the property where their office is located, it speaks to an awareness of general accessibility. For customers, the West Olive location signifies a commitment to the local West Michigan community, allowing for streamlined service throughout the region's main cities and townships.
As a full-service Landscaper, Precision Landscapes LLC is equipped to handle a variety of residential and possibly commercial exterior renovation and maintenance tasks. The services they typically bid on encompass the full scope of property grounds improvement, from foundational grading to decorative planting.
Based on customer experiences and general landscaping contractor types, their services include:
- New Lawn Installation and Preparation: This involves ground preparation, dirt spreading, and establishing new grass, frequently using methods like hydroseeding (spray-on seed, mulch, and fertilizer mixture) or sod installation.
- Landscape Renovation and Design: Comprehensive overhauls of existing yards, including the removal and replacement of old plants and flowers.
- Hardscape Material Installation: Placing decorative stones, laying out paths, and installing landscape edging to define borders and enhance yard aesthetics.
- Ground Fabric and Material Replacement: Removal of old weed barrier fabric and installation of new fabric, often followed by the application of mulch or bark.
- Large-Scale Project Bidding and Management: Taking on significant, multi-faceted projects with a quoted scope and timeline, such as a full front and back yard revitalization.
For local West Michigan customers, the choice of a landscaping contractor often comes down to their project capabilities, local presence, and customer experience.
Key features of Precision Landscapes LLC's offering include:
- Local Expertise: Located in West Olive, the company is positioned to understand and cater to the specific soil, drainage, and planting needs of the West Michigan region.
- Comprehensive Service Scope: The business is capable of bidding on large, multifaceted jobs that integrate both softscaping (plants, lawns) and basic hardscaping (stone, edging).
- Initial High Expectations: Bids and promises by the owner, Brian, often set a high standard for project completion, including aggressive timelines (e.g., a four-day completion estimate for a large job) and the use of quality materials.
- Accessibility Feature: The confirmed existence of a Wheelchair accessible parking lot at their listed location is an important physical detail for customers visiting the business premises.
It is important to contrast these stated features with recurrent customer concerns. Issues surrounding the quality of finished work (bumpy lawns, unfinished projects) and customer service (rudeness, unkept appointments, lack of responsiveness) are significant points of local discussion that prospective clients must consider when evaluating the company's reliability and precision in execution.
For West Michigan residents who wish to contact Precision Landscapes LLC to inquire about services, schedule a bid, or address an ongoing project concern, the following information is available:

Choosing a local landscaper is often done to ensure regional knowledge and support the community. If a West Michigan resident has a large, complex landscaping vision—involving a new lawn, stone features, and plant replacement—Precision Landscapes LLC may initially appear to be a comprehensive, one-stop solution. Their local base in West Olive makes them convenient to call upon for projects in Ottawa County.
However, the decision to hire them should be made with careful consideration of the available customer feedback. While they have the capability and local presence, the recurring themes of unfinished work, poor communication, and dissatisfaction with the final quality (such as uneven lawn grading after hydroseeding) are significant risks. In the highly competitive Michigan landscaping market, dependability is often the most important feature. Customers should weigh the company's local convenience and scope of services against the documented challenges in project completion and post-service follow-up. Ensuring a detailed, staggered payment contract tied to completion milestones, rather than a large upfront deposit, may be a prudent step for any client considering engaging this particular local landscaper for a substantial project. Ultimately, the worth of choosing any contractor hinges on their ability to deliver the promised precision and reliability throughout the entire project lifecycle, a standard all West Michigan homeowners expect.

Precision Landscapes LLC Reviews
We hired Precision Landscapes LLC out of West Olive Michigan this past spring. Brian, the owner bid the job at $13,000 and that we had to give him 50% down up front. So we did. Brian promised all kinds of things like....get the stones for the landscaping and remove and replace flowers and plants and remove replace edging and remove/replace ground fabric. He (the company) would do the job all in 4 days. He only did 20% if that and left on vacation in the middle of the job. We called to see whats going and the girl in the office was rude and gave us the run around.Precision Landscape was terrible!!! They wanted more money, didn't even finish the job! Out of five bids that we got, he was the highest but we thought he would be the best....we were very wrong! Do not make the same mistake as we did.
July 25 · Shirley VeltemaVery dissatisfied with this company. Horrible customer service, I hired them to install a new lawn and all they did was spray hydro seed and spread dirt around. My lawn is very bumpy, uneven and with “holes” all over. I scheduled appointments in two occasions to try to get them to come back and do a walk through with me to point out the flaws in my lawn but both times the guy did not show up. Instead I received a call saying that he came to my house when I wasn’t present and to their standards everything seemed fine. They also said and I quote “ The lawn will look even once the grass comes in”. What the heck??? A professional landscaper told me that!!! After a whole summer of emailing back and forth they came the following year to do a rolling treatment that did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. I never heard feom them again. I have heard horror stories from this company around my town. I gave them a chance because they are local but now I wouldn’t hire them to even mow my lawn.
January 10 · Julio ZavalaPrecision Lawn Care had terrible customer service and we were dissatisfied with their job. This is my first experience writing a bad review but felt their service was so dishonest and badly completed that I needed to write one. First, they completed landscaping and an new sprinkler system that looked beautiful at first. Plants started dying quickly and I realized that there was no water supply to any of the landscaping and some areas of the grass. Luckily, we have great neighbors that helped us out with this. I also realized they planted some part-sun plants in full-sun areas. Those plants did not last long of course. I called them to let them know what happened and we did not receive one call back after three calls. The following year, I thought I would try them one more time to fix the sprinklers in the lawn that were not covering all the areas of the grass. Instead they fixed the landscaping sprinklers (that we had to put in ourselves to prevent the plants from dying after I had to replant almost everything). I asked for a quote before they came out and when they first come out (before they touched anything) and they said they would give me one, but instead they did what they wanted and then I got an invoice one week later in the mail. The only explanation the invoice had was "fixed 2 units", they were only out here for maybe 15 minutes and did not even fix the main problem which was the water was not getting to all parts of the grass. The guy told me it was a plumbing issue not their issue (I have since found out that is not true). We have had to fix most of the problems. They rarely call back and communication is horrible. I regret calling them back and wished I would have called a different company. I thought I would give them another try, but it was a big mistake I will never make again.
July 10 · Amanda NadeauPleased from beginning to end. They returned my original call for estimate quickly, met me on site right away to go over the project, made helpful suggestions to improve upon what I had planned, did a quick and professional job of installation, and followed up promptly to address any potential problems or concerns.Every step of the way the entire crew was courteous and went above and beyond to clean up the site all the way through to keep things looking top notch.I have been very impressed and would definitely recommend.
