★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1As a luxury wedding photographer, Blumen Gardens is pure magic. A lush, hidden garden tucked inside a restored warehouse—every corner is a dream for photos! The greenery, blooms, and natural light make couple portraits and candid moments absolutely effortless, while the warehouse’s modern, industrial touches add a chic contrast. Oh, and not to mention, they have a MASSIVE bridal suite (huge bonus). Covered spaces make it perfect for any weather, and the whole venue feels both intimate and unforgettable. If you want your wedding to be one-of-a-kind and totally photogenic, this is it.P.S.The staff is super cool, too!-Mikayla + Capture the Canvas Photography, INC
August 28 · Mikayla Kosicek StronskiBlumen Gardens in Sycamore is an absolute treasure—equal parts lush garden center, dreamy wedding venue, and living piece of local history.Let’s start with the building itself: this historic factory at 403 Edward Street dates back to 1869 and has been home to everything from Marsh Harvester to wire manufacturing companies like Anaconda. You can feel the stories in the exposed brick, steel beams, and vintage industrial charm woven through every inch of the space. It’s got that perfect “old soul meets fresh bloom” vibe that makes every visit feel like a step into another world. The garden center is a plant lover’s paradise. Picture rows of vibrant flowers, tall hydrangeas in full bloom, and beautifully curated displays of perennials, greenery, and seasonal color. Whether you're looking to take home a few cheerful pops of summer or just want to soak in some nature therapy, the selection is abundant and gorgeously maintained. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, and the ambiance alone is worth the visit. And with convenient hours (Monday–Thursday 9-5PM, Friday–Sunday 9-4PM), it’s easy to pop in anytime. But where Blumen truly shines is as an event and wedding venue. Since 2005, they've been hosting unforgettable celebrations in this stunning space. Their venue blends rustic elegance with natural beauty: indoor and outdoor ceremony sites, lush garden pathways, twinkling lights, and exposed beams make it a photographer’s dream. The entire atmosphere feels like something out of a romantic film. One of my favorite touches is their thoughtfully designed wedding suite—a private three-room hideaway complete with a hair and makeup room, lounge areas, private restroom, bar, fridge, and even a full-length mirror on a platform (hello, bridal moment!). It’s cozy, luxurious, and totally Instagram-worthy.And now for the real showstopper: the Conveyor Room. If you know, you know. Tucked away like a hidden gem, this room features stunning brickwork, industrial accents, lush greenery, and Edison bulb chandeliers. It’s often used for First Look photos, and I can see why—it’s magical. After the ceremony, the space easily transforms into a cigar bar, snack station, or game lounge. It’s versatile, intimate, and brimming with character. A total guest favorite! It’s no surprise Blumen Gardens has earned The Knot’s Best of Weddings four years running. Every inch of this place feels intentional, warm, and truly unforgettable. Whether you’re shopping for plants, planning your big day, or simply looking to enjoy a quiet walk surrounded by blooms and history, Blumen Gardens is pure joy.
July 24 · Cyndi MartzWe could not have asked for a more beautiful, seamless venue than Blumen Gardens! Planning our wedding without a wedding planner was definitely overwhelming at first, but once we found Blumen, it really felt like everything started to fall into place. From the moment we visited, we knew it was the one, the garden was already so beautiful that we didn’t feel the need to add anything more. One of the biggest things we appreciated was how they allowed outside catering, which gave us the freedom to choose what we wanted for the food. On top of this, the indoor reception space was already decorated with beautiful string lights and had that perfect rustic charm we were looking for.The team at Blumen was amazing to work with. Britney was so kind, responsive, and accommodating from the beginning, always willing to answer our (many) questions. As our guest counts changed, she and the team were so flexible and worked closely with us to help adjust the layout and plans. They even offered rentals for signage and decor (which we honestly wish we had used more of instead of buying our own!).Blumen Gardens also made it easy for us to stay organized. Even without an official wedding planner, they provided clear timelines for when they needed info like our schedule, vendor contacts, layout, and rehearsal details. On the day of the wedding, Alyssa, Bridget, and the rest of the Blumen team were everywhere making sure everything ran smoothly. Their presence and support gave us so much peace of mind. The entire day felt like a dream come true, and we’re so thankful to the team at Blumen Gardens for helping bring our dream wedding vision to life. Also, their off-season discounts helped us stay on budget, and they never pressured us into using their rentals or bar services. If you're looking for a venue that’s naturally beautiful, flexible, & staffed with kind people who truly care; Blumen Gardens is it!!
May 30 · Mikaela LingatA beautiful place to be inspired for your garden. I went there with my girlfriends, and learned how to felt birds. Be sure you have a lot of time available to see everything.
July 26 · Alice MoringI cannot stress how wonderful Blumen Gardens is! My husband (!!!!!) and I got married there on 05/03/2025, and it was a dream come true. We booked in early September 2024 and the staff was incredible from start to finish, answering all of our questions and giving us recommendations. Day of, they were phenomenal! They were always around to jump in and help if we needed help setting up, and they were wonderful in coordinating the ceremony. They also brought in our outdoor decorations inside so that we didn't have to worry about bringing everything in. We received endless amounts of compliments from all of our guests about how stunning the venue is. Truly it was something out a dream. The only downside is, I am so sad it's over :)
