Carlos 4 Seasons Landscaping and Snow Removal Introduce
For homeowners and businesses across Kenosha, Wisconsin, managing a property year-round requires dedicated attention, from achieving a lush, green lawn in the summer to ensuring safe, clear access during the inevitable Wisconsin winter snowfalls. Carlos 4 Seasons Landscaping and Snow Removal positions itself as a comprehensive outdoor contractor, designed to be a single-source solution for property management in the area. With over 20 years in the business, this Kenosha-based, family-run operation emphasizes its deep commitment to local clients and delivering a wide range of services that keep properties looking their best and functioning safely, regardless of the season.
The company is not limited to typical lawn mowing and trimming; it advertises full-spectrum services that cross over into hardscaping and structural work. These offerings include fundamental landscaping needs like General Gardening, Tree Planting, and detailed Lawn Maintenance, all the way up to larger construction-related projects such as fence installation and concrete work. Critically, their business model includes vital, seasonal support, operating as a necessary Snow Removal provider to address the heavy snow and ice common in the Kenosha region. This focus on being a "four seasons" partner means they are built to tackle the diverse and demanding climate challenges faced by property owners in Southeast Wisconsin.
While the ambition to provide such a vast array of services is clear, the experience of customers highlights a key consideration: the consistency of project delivery. The company has earned positive feedback for the quality of specialized work, such as professional tree trimming, suggesting a high standard of craftsmanship exists within their teams. However, prospective clients should note that reviews also indicate significant issues with scheduling, adherence to timelines, and project management oversight on larger, multi-day projects like concrete and fence installations. This suggests that while the skill is present, communication and project accountability can be an area of concern that requires careful client management.

What is Worth Choosing Carlos 4 Seasons Landscaping and Snow Removal
For local users in the Kenosha area, Carlos 4 Seasons Landscaping and Snow Removal is an attractive option primarily for two reasons: the convenience of a single, year-round contractor, and the proven quality in certain landscaping specialties like intricate tree work. They are an established, family-run business that understands the local ecosystem, offering reliable, essential services such as Lawn Maintenance and Snow Removal that are critical for life in Wisconsin.
It is worth choosing them for routine, seasonal services or specialized tasks where a skilled crew's immediate effort is the main requirement. Their long-standing presence and commitment to making lawns "green and gorgeous" is well-documented by satisfied customers. However, for larger, multi-phase construction projects such as fence replacement or complex concrete work, prospective clients should exercise caution. Based on detailed public feedback, a pattern of significant project delays, unreliability in scheduling, and post-completion cleanup issues has been reported. When commissioning extensive, time-sensitive hardscaping or construction, it is crucial to establish clear, written timelines and expectations for project management, material delivery, and site cleanliness to ensure a positive outcome. Choosing this company means opting for a local partner with high potential for quality work, but with the necessity of diligent oversight on complex, multi-week projects.

Carlos 4 Seasons Landscaping and Snow Removal Reviews
As others have stated, the work (when it gets done) is of decent enough quality, the problem is the time it will take to get done. Hired the company to replace the existing fence, and then some concrete work. After 72 days from the first payment, when the work was still not complete, I told them to stop showing up and looked into legal action.Original timeline was 4 days for fence, and 4-5 days for concrete work after. Half the payment for fence was given upfront for material costs, with a start planned for Aug 15, and fence would be complete by Aug 19. Work started Aug 21, and was not completed until Sept 13. There was some reasonable delays for weather, but most days the only issue was just no one showed up to work and only after repeated calls and texts would the crew show up and work for a few hours at the end of the day (littering my yard with beer cans while they worked) and then leave after 1-2 hours.I originally backed out of the concrete work after the fence took so long, but was reassured that once the concrete work started it had to be done in a few days because of ordering the deliveries and risk of damage to the house if it rained while the drive way was cut up. Concrete timeline was to start on Thurs Sept 12, and be "we'd be sitting on it by Tues (Sept 17).Concrete was not poured until Sept 18. None of the overspill was cleaned up, the frames leaked on every side and to this day still have dried up concrete on the siding of the house, in the driveway, and leaked out into the yard. When the concrete was poured (two large slabs and effectively a walkway) NO stress cuts were made originally. Only after I pointed out the lack of them did they cut stress lines after the concrete had fully set. This has resulted in multiple cracks in all the concrete work done over the first winter because of the extremely poor job.The entire job from start to finish was treated as if it was a favor being done, where people worked only when they wanted to, as opposed to being a place of business with any amount of accountability or responsibility. Eventually I had to hire another company to finish the work that was promised and paid for, but it was easier than continuing to deal with this one.
June 30 · Todd Wierzchowski5 Stars! Dustin took his time in trimming my unique trees and they are perfect. I couldn't be happier. Thank you for doing a great job!
September 08 · Jen K.We hired Carlos last summer to landscape our yard. When he finally got around to doing the work it was fine. The problem was he would say he would come out on Monday and show up on Friday. The only reason he came out on Friday is because I called him five times to ask where he was.Part of Our deal was that he would come out and refresh the mulch this summer but that never happened. If you are looking for an OK job that gets done eventually this is your company
October 11 · Steve and Ginna CrossFirst the positive (which is why it's got a star at all): The company (when it shows up) is EXTREMELY fast, efficient and hard working. They know their stuff and are good at what they do. NEGATIVE: I hired the company to grade and grass seed my yard. Over the past two months, the company has had TERRIBLE punctuality. I have heard excuses ranging from "I decided to go fishing" to "I'll be there today" and I didn't hear from them for 3 days. When they first discussed pricing with us, they quoted us a verbal price (no written contract. MAKE SURE YOU GET A WRITTEN CONTRACT) with a verbal guarantee that they will not finish until I was satisfied. We had to pay half up front and the balance was to be paid when "we were satisfied". Right before the yard was complete I got a text asking for the balance because "they needed the money". I was hesitant and said what guarantee would I have the yard would be done when it was right and I would ever hear from them again? I got the "I stand behind my work" response. 2 weeks ago (still being working on), the yard had to be dug up partially because they had eyeballed the grade and were going to fix it if it was wrong per the city. Also, supposedly, the grade stakes were originally placed wrong as well from the professional grading staking company. Now, the yard is half warzone looking and I find they need another 1/3 of the total price to finish. Until they get paid, they are "walking off the job". They also put all the dirt they dug up from the yard in the vacant lot next door and I'm getting complaints about "dumping". I am now in the process of hiring someone else to complete a simple probably 1 hours worth of flatting the warzone so I can seed it myself and then I will be talking with my lawyer regarding damages and repayment for all the headache and extra cost I'm about to incur. I tried reaching out to the company and after a week of ignoring my calls and texts (after they said they would again give me a call to let me know when they would show up again) they said they weren't scared of me saying "court" because “they have lawyers for this type of situation”. SUMMARY: If you want a nice yard at some point when they don’t schedule fishing time and the time of the moon is right and the wind blows a certain way and don't mind getting surprise extra costs added before completion, then this is the company for you. I am really surprised as I haven't heard anyone else complaining about the company, but the company itself says it's been in situations before like mine and have "been screwed by the home owner" so apparently I'm not the first.
October 24 · Jim KovachikI called to schedule snow removal at 8 am. Said I needed it done by 10. He never showed, never answered my calls and never responded to text. By that point everyone else was full so now I am missing a birthday party because I am stuck at home. VERY UPSET WITH HIM. NEVER ATTEMPT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON.
